rants

We saw The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe over the weekend. It was good - told the story like I remembered it. Lucy reminded me of Sam, even that little gap in her front teeth, but moreso her will. The Witch was well casted and costumed. It made me a little sad, though, as I sometimes miss that childlike belief that there is some great being which will fix everything and make everything right so I don’t have to worry if I get it wrong. It was a comfortable belief system.

And then those wacky ‘Christians’ go do something that reminds me just how out of touch so many of them are. What is it this time, you ask? A Jesus themepark. No, I’m not kidding. In Israel, near the Sea of Galilee. You just know there’s going to be a Walk on Water ride and all the restaurants will serve loaves and fishes. Do these people know no shame at all? They’re getting awfully wrapped up in their pursuit of earthly riches and not paying so much attention to the heavenly ones anymore, methinks.

  1. Your last comment. Right on. Although, that “water to wine” park, might be fun.

They may be the alma mater, but oh man - what were they thinking spending $4 million dollars for this coach? so they could look like they sent the JV team out?

Fuck. I think he 'disappeared' my mittens in retaliation. And @dammitsweeney, I'm sure his lawyer can work out a contract for you. 56 mins ago
