gallery crawl

In some real cities, local art galleries coordinate their show openings so that you can go downtown and hit a few openings in one evening, perhaps stopping along the way or before or after to have a bite or a drink. It’s quite civilized, and a nice evening out.

Why don’t the galleries in Ann Arbor do this? The Gallery Project has an opening March 30. The Krappy Kamera kids have an opening March 23 at Gallery 4.  The Art Center has an opening March 30.  Washington Street is in the middle of an exhibition.  I can’t find an upcoming schedule for WORK.  But it would be so cool if they could get together on their schedules, especially as the weather gets warmer, so we could all come down and walk around and see lots of art and enjoy our small, supposedly cool city.

Work gallery schedule (although they don’t seem to publish stuff far enough in advance).

    This is a great idea!

They may be the alma mater, but oh man - what were they thinking spending $4 million dollars for this coach? so they could look like they sent the JV team out?

@jweise It's not a Christmas tree; it means that's the last piece of iron going up on the building. It's tradition. http://bit.ly/Sn5n 4 hrs ago
