back to the singularity
May 21, 2007I moved back to regular old WordPress over the weekend. It was fairly painless – the only trouble was that I chose to do it on a day when my host was having network difficulties and my DNS requests got backed up in their queue. Ah well, it’s done now. Main site, isn’t done yet – had to deal with the lawn and an 11-year-old boy and didn’t get to it.
The shared items from my Google feed still don’t work. I’m trying to find an answer, but they may just have to go. Contemplating how to best do the Flickr pics, too. They seem slow.
You can also expect to see more changes around here in the near term. I will be sprucing up the typography and applying some hare-brained ideas I have to the layout. I’ll keep you posted.

Hi Laura,
I love your blog. It’s beautiful to look at and beautiful to read. I think when you switched back to wordpress the comment page didn’t take. The only thing that shows is the codeword “{mailform}”.
Just wanted to say it’s cool that you listen to a Canadian radio show, with me being from Canada and all.
Take care!
Well thank you for the kind words! And thank you for the heads-up on the contact form, too. WPMU has its own contact form thing and I forgot to replace it on going back to regular WP. Will remedy shortly!
Hi Mitten! I found your site via iconbuffet – beautiful layout. So clean and easy (and fun) to navigate. Is it all your own design? Excellent work! And of course, great use of icons. Nice to e-meet you!
