You know, I think I’m the only person in the world who actually likes the m&m — I have a bluetooth instance (the one I carry around) and a USB instance (at the office).
I will say that if the scroll wheel cruds up, you have to clean it using a very strange tactic, which I would happily demonstrate if prompted. This crudding-up happens to the bluetooth one all the time, probably because it spends most of its time loose in my bag.
Oh yeah, I should have prefaced my comment with a friendly, midwestern-type HOWDY NEIGHBOR.
My apologies, profusely.
Got rid of it. ;) Spent my money to buy a Microsoft-Bluetooth-Mouse. Using it together with my Macbook now. Sometimes things like that happen. ;)
Scroll wheel gets “grimey”. turn it upside down on a piece of plain paper and roll it around while applying light pressure. I’ve been using a BT MM with my Macbook Pro for over a year and a Wired MM on my desktop Mac for even longer. I have to clean them in that fashion about every month or so, but just takes minute.
I love the Mighty Mouse (except for his cape). I’ve got one with a tail on my Al PowerBook, a Bluetooth one on the family iMac, and a Bluetooth one on my MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro is my work machine, so that mouse goes all over the place. I haven’t had any problems with any of them.
