free movie!

ann arborarts Go to the Michigan Theater tonight! Or Sunday! Print this coupon out first and you can see Gas, Food, Lodging for free. It's part of the new 25 Films from the Sundance Film Festival Series. (Please pass the link along and post it on your blog, too!)

5 seconds of fame

artsravesweb, tech & gadgets There's a movie coming out in August which was filmed here around Detroit. The trailer for the movie is here, and at about the 22 or 23 second mark, you'll see some images of a website. That's a Flash animation and I made it! I don't imagine there are any credits involved or anything, as I was subcontracting, but you all can go 'woot!' if you you see the movie. Crossover

oreo budget

politics I'm not sure how new or old this little clip is, but it's clever and puts the Federal budget into an understandable perspective. It's from Ben Cohen, one of the founders of Ben & Jerry's. Oreo Cookie Budget (via AlterNet)

ann arbor UPDATE: I have been in contact with the fine people at Vinology and they assure me that they are working hard to make their restaurant better and better every day. He's also been spotted in dayglo, riding a segway around Millennium Park. Still in a bit of a funk here, but the quiet time is nice. I slept in, which was also nice. No coffee in the house, not so nice. No tea, either. I may actually have to venture out into the world. I see that I haven't posted much here lately. speed racer

Forget the old cartoon, forget any hint of serious intent and go watch this movie for the sheer technicolor delight of it. It's beautiful, it's fast, it's silly (in the good way), it's exciting and inspired. Go Speed go!
