2. How much does it cost to drive a car?
a. If you need a car to give you the illusion of being safe and powerful because said incompetent administration has made sure that you're scared out of your mind?

Volunteer ushers are needed at the Michigan Theater for the upcoming season, which looks pretty damn good to me. The mass meetings are at the theater Wednesday Sept 7 and Thursday Sept 8 from 5:30-6:30. (Or you can email volunteers at michtheater dot org for more info) You'll need to commit to ushering for several shows, but there are still usher spots available for the Sigur Ros show. Which is sold out. So if you want to go and don't have a ticket, you know what to do.
Some of the other shows in the fall lineup are:
George Clinton 9/24, Interpol 9/25, Death Cab for Cutie 10/14, Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon (of Phish) 10/23, Henry ...

There have got to be some decent and not outrageously priced options for Friday let's-go-out lunch in Ann Arbor. I just have no idea where they are. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Are there lunch buffets out there anywhere? I guess the criteria is decent food and lunch for two under $15 total. Under $13, even better.
Places that currently mostly work for us:
Senior Lopez
Eastern Accents
the Thai place at the Colonade - can never remember the name
Afternoon Delight (hard to stay under $15, though)
I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of. Or not.
