I am a big fan of
Lifehacker. The other day, I read this article on how to poach an egg. See, I have a little doohickey, and it's supposed to be non-stick, but I buy big eggs, and they never fit in the cup space and run all over the place and it's not really non-stick so it makes a big mess, both of the doohickey and the pan its in.
So I thought I would try the method described in the Lifehacker find:
wrap the egg in saranwrap and boil the little packet. Total success! And mine turned out much prettier than the ones in the picture, too. No mess, no fuss ...

I took the
blogging survey at MIT. It was interesting, and I'd actually love to see their findings on the social status part of the survey - like, how many doctors do you know? bus drivers? lawyers? cooks? etc. But one part of the data that is accessible currently is broad demographics like age. Here's where I fit in:

Lots of people are posting the Declaration of Independence in the blogs today. I appreciate that; it's good reading. So is this commentary on the celebration of war:
