I don't believe it. The plan for an Ikea store in Canton
has been terminated. Not delayed, terminated.
Apparently, the yahoos who own the property which would have been Ikea's neighbor agreed to a certain arrangement regarding parking access, then reneged and demanded more money at the last moment. Ikea terminated the deal instead of meeting Stern's demands.
I've been looking for contact information for this Mr. Stern, to let him know just what I think about this. He seems to be involved with a company called Lormax Stern. Their number is (248) 737-4041 and the email given is

Only a few more days and I'll be in LA. I can't wait. I'm busy doing all the things that feel imperative - deciding what music to put on my Palm, printing out maps, figuring out a book to bring, washing my shoes.
